First-Gen Advisory Board
Over the past four years, UCLA has made great strides in increasing support for first-generation bruins across a variety of departments and offices throughout campus – First To Go, Alumni Relations, Undergraduate Admission, Graduate Division, Residential Life, etc. The campus-wide FirstGen Advisory Board is intended to bring together stakeholders across campus who currently support and interact with the first-generation college community to create a more cohesive environment and understanding around all first-generation initiatives. Members of the FirstGen Advisory Board, provide valuable input on first-gen student engagement, share best practices and support with colleagues who also support this population, and are a pivotal voice in the rapid changes across campus for first-gen students.
